Perfect Union & the Power Heist: How Religion Stole What God Gave You

When I say Perfect Union is not “just another Christian book,” I mean that with my whole chest.
For years, we have watched people sit in church week after week, faithfully serving, faithfully tithing, faithfully showing up and yet walking around powerless, guilty, confused, and spiritually dependent on whoever has the microphone. The so-called “anointed ones” stand on stages while the people of God sit like spiritual orphans, waiting to be told who they are, what God is saying, and whether they’re qualified to even breathe too loud in the sanctuary.
Somewhere in all of this, the Word of God got demoted, pushed to the side by church traditions, non-believing quotes, catchy slogans, and secular evaluations dressed up as “wisdom”! And that, to me, is one of the greatest ongoing error in the Body of Christ.
Why I Feel Like Bane (Yes, That Bane)
Let me be honest: as I wrote Perfect Union, I started to feel a little like Bane from The Dark Knight Rises, not in the sense of being a villain, but in the sense of exposing a corrupted system and returning power to the people.
Bane walks into a city where the structures look solid but are rotten at the core. There’s a small group holding all the power, while the people live under fear, propaganda, and illusion. His whole goal is to pull the mask off the system, even if it means shaking everything that feels “normal.”
Now, of course, Bane’s methods are destructive and evil. I’m not cosigning that. But I am saying this:
I’m done watching religious systems hoard the very power Jesus bled to give His people.
I wrote Perfect Union because I am not okay with pulpits being used like thrones, titles being used like chains, and “church culture” being used like a gag order on the people of God.
When Tradition Sits Higher Than Scripture
Let’s be real.
We have made:
The way we “do church” more sacred than what the Bible actually teaches
Our denominational loyalties louder than the voice of the Spirit
Our favorite preachers more trusted than the words of Jesus Himself
We’ve inherited phrases like:
“Don’t touch my anointed” as a shield for leaders who refuse accountability
“Covering” as a way to keep people infantilized and afraid to think, pray, or hear God for themselves
“This is just how we do it” as a holy-sounding excuse to never repent or reform
Some of us will defend a church tradition to the death, but we won’t open our Bibles to see if it’s even in there.
That is backwards.
When our traditions sit higher than Scripture, we have quietly decided that God’s Word is negotiable, but our way of doing things is not. That mindset has produced generations of believers who love God, but don’t know who they are in Him, and don’t believe they’re allowed to walk in what the Bible clearly says belongs to them.
Why Perfect Union Had to Be Written
Perfect Union was born out of a holy frustration.
I got tired of watching believers:
Wait for someone “more spiritual” to confirm what God already said in His Word
Treat pastors like spiritual landlords who “own” their destiny
Stay stuck in cycles of sin, shame, and striving because nobody ever taught them what it really means to be one spirit with Christ (1 Cor. 6:17)
At some point, I realized:We don’t just have a “discipleship problem.”We have an identity problem.
We don’t know who we are. We don’t know what actually changed when we were joined to the Lord. We don’t know what union with Christ means beyond a churchy phrase.
So we keep coming back, week after week, to get a “feel" / "fill” from the same system that trained us to be empty.
Perfect Union is my refusal to accept that version of following God.
This book is my declaration that:
You are not a spiritual sidekick in your own walk with God
You don’t need a human middleman to manage your access to Jesus
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, not just on the preacher, the prophet, or the worship team
I wrote this book to put the power back where God put it! inside His people.
This Is Not a Church-Bashing Book. It’s a Wake-Up Call.
I need you to hear this clearly: I’m not anti-church.
I love the Church. I have given my life to serve the Church. But loving the Bride of Christ means refusing to stay silent when she’s being mishandled.
Perfect Union is not me throwing stones at pastors, leaders, or denominations. It’s me flipping on the lights in a room we’ve kept dim for too long. It’s me saying:
“We cannot keep pretending this is biblical just because it’s normal.”
In these pages, I call out:
Manipulation wrapped in spiritual language
Control structures disguised as “order”
Fear-based, performance-based religion that keeps you forever unworthy and dependent
And then I point you, over and over again, back to the Word! not my opinion, not my brand, not my tradition.
Because if the Word doesn’t say it, we don’t get to build systems around it and call it holy.
Restoring the Proper Power to the People of God
When I say I feel like Bane, I’m talking about this assignment:
To dismantle the lie that you’re powerless
To overthrow the unbiblical idea that only a few “special” people get to walk closely with God
To expose how we’ve elevated church traditions over God’s own voice
But unlike Bane, my goal is not chaos. My goal is restoration.
I want to see:
Believers walking in confidence because they actually know who they are in Christ
Households becoming altars, not just Sunday services
Leaders who equip instead of control, who release instead of restrict
A Church that measures everything by Scripture and the leading of the Spirit not by what’s popular, branded, or marketable
You’ve Been Lied To About Who You Are in God
If you’ve ever:
Felt like you’ll never be “spiritual enough”
Been made to feel small so someone else could feel important
Been told “that’s not your lane” when you tried to obey what God put in your spirit
Sat in church hungry for more, but kept being told to “just serve, submit, and wait your turn”
Then Perfect Union is my letter to you.
This book is me standing in the middle of a system and saying:
“No more. The Word of God says you are joined to the Lord. You are not a background extra in the Kingdom of God.”
Where We’re Going From Here
This introductory blog is just the beginning.
In Perfect Union, we’re going to:
Tear down the religious lies that kept you bound
Walk through Scripture and see what God actually says about your identity
Confront the traditions that have sat higher than the Word in our churches
Rebuild a biblical, powerful, intimate understanding of what it means to be one spirit with Christ
I wrote this book because I believe God is handing His people back what was always theirs: Access. Authority. Identity. Union.
If you’re tired of being spiritually managed, manipulated, or minimized…If you feel that holy tension in your spirit that says, “There has to be more than this”…
Then welcome. This is the revolution of Perfect Union.
Let’s put the power back where God put it! in you, joined to Him.
